Go Within - Sunday Yin

“The quieter you become the more you can hear. ~ Ram Dass

Welcome to Sunday Yin :)

I continue the online classes throughout May as it seems that we are asked a little more patience until we can connect and practice in person again. As the world is still trying to figure out how to continue and there is little certainty or stability, the practice of Yin Yoga can offer you a wonderful anchor to cultivate these qualities within.

The classes throughout May offer a calming practice to alleviate tension and restlessness in the mind and body.

Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. The practice targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body,  rather than the muscles (which are the physical focus of Yang yoga practices).

On a more energetic level, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs, which according to Chinese medicine, runs through the meridian pathways of the body. It is suggested that these meridians are created by our connective tissue and that the improved flow of chi improves organ health, immunity, and also emotional wellbeing.

When people ask me about Yin Yoga I always realize that it is quiet hard to put the effect that the practice has into words. It is a bit like trying to describe the taste of chocolate. It is better to experience it to to really know what Yin Yoga is all about.

So come and try :)

The practice is both suitable for beginners as well as advanced yogis.

The classes will be held each Sunday in May online via zoom. If you would like to join but you can not commit to the five classes or you have any questions feel free to reach out. I am happy to give you more information or help to clear any doubts or concerns.
