Yin Yoga & The Breath of Life
Welcome to Sunday Spring Renewal.
The Sunday Yin Yoga journey continues throughout March as an opportunity to end the week more consciously, feeling more integrated through a combination of slow movement, stillness and breath.
In March we can begin to feel the energy of Spring rising. After the cold winter months nature slowly starts to awaken with longer and warmer days, more sunlight, sounds of birds, the arrival of geese, the appearance of flowers.
We may still experience cold days and Winter only gradually loosens its grip, but we feel a change coming and nature starts to tease us. And just as nature enters into a cycle of growth, rebirth and expansion, so does the energy within us, which laid dormant over the winter months.
Yin Yoga is a wonderful practice to release tired and stagnant energy from the colder months. The practice can help to move and energize you from the inside out. It is a wonderful slow-paced, almost meditative practice, suitable for any level of experience.
The classes throughout March will also support you in cultivating a deeper awareness of your breath and the basic movements in your body that are present while breathing. Breath and movement are deeply connected, they are like a marriage formed a very long time ago, with your very first breath at birth. Breathing is the most powerful resource you have for creating and sustaining your vital energy.
The classes will be held each Sunday in March online via zoom.
